We look back on an exciting and successful PLATH Intelligence Day 2024.
In its 13th edition, the industry event once again broke the attendance record. More than 600 participants travelled to Oslo to discuss the latest developments in the run-up to the AOC Europe conference. This year, specialist presentations on the highly topical subjects of artificial intelligence and software-defined defence provided impetus.
Just to name a few of the specialist presentations we had for example an expert from Microsoft who spoke about software-defined defence and AI – operational insights from Ukraine followed by a speaker who showed how software-defined defence changes the game (Hensoldt) or how it enables multi-domain operations (Schönhofer). PLATH´s expert presented the new cross-system solution SDI Core powered by AI with an innovative video presentation.
In the afternoon we had a speaker looking on the software framework for the evaluation of AI applications in military systems (IABG), an expert from IBM described the perspectives on connected EW while we had the Czech specialist of Phonexia talking about how speech technologies can be used in the realms of defence and investigation. Two talks by the German Bundeswehr and the Federal Ministry of Defence (BMVg) added to the extensive professional input before the speaker for Helsing rounded up the day explaining what it takes to accelere the mission cycle with software and AI. In addition two panel discussions gave enough room for answering questions from the auditorium.
